Hop Picking at Orleton Court Farm, Worcestershire. I should have planned my visit rather than turn up and hope they would be picking on a particular day. Fortunately they were, but only for two and half hours or so which put me under a bit of pressure! The iPad allowed me to work very quickly and even I was surprised at managing to complete the above sketches in the given time. They were picking a variety called Fuggles, some of which would go to produce their own craft beer. It was a good to see some of the people I know there again and I felt quite at home.
My anticipated quiet weekend then dissipated as one of the tractor drivers then asked me if I would draw at his daughter’s wedding which was taking place on the farm the next day. How could I refuse!
